Top Executive Partner come to the first meeting at ISS

The board members of the ISS Business School Hamburg welcomed 12 successful chairmen and managers as Top Executive Partner on board the ISS. In future these executives will be available to the MBA-students at ISS as mentors and sparring partners.

Guest lecturer at ISS Hamburg on 11. March 2009

On Wednesday, 11. March 2009 at 19:30 Dr. Rembert Horstmann, Fiege Contract Logistics, will hold a speech on "Markenbildung für Dienstleistungen: Inszenierung von Unternehmen und Dienstleistungsprodukten". Award for Excellence: Prof. Dr. Markus Warg awaredAward Prof. Dr. Markus Warg

Since May 2008 Prof. Dr. Markus Warg is professor of Finance and Risk Management at ISS Business School. Now he has been internationally awarded: From the Emerald publishing group he received the "Award for Excellence" for his contribution in the English expert journal "Journal of International Trade Law and Policy": within this article Prof. Dr. Warg puts his focus on Talent Management: "A geometrical approach to the modelling of talent markets - with special account to talent and organization development". Emerald produces worldwide journals, especially focusing on economics.


Save the date: Trend Workshop Service with "Master Class" on 4. and 5. June 2009 in Hamburg

For the first time a Master Class is taking place one day before the 2009´s Trend Workshop Service on 4. June 2009 with the motto "Lösungen effizienter liefern": For many companies the offer of individual customer solutions is meanwhile a central component of their strategy. You will hear about specialised methods with practical examples, with which you can:

  • analyse solution projects - to identify recurring and high efficient processes.
  • to transfer these processes in standard building blocks for solution offers and
  • to put these into action and to use the possibility to adapt to various locations.

The workshop will be lead by Dr. Ronald Miller, attorney hsg Zander GmbH, a company of Bilfinger+Berger Gruppe and Prof. Dr. Tilo Böhmann, Head of Research Service Management, ISS International Business School of Service Management. The participation fee being 350,- Euro.

Trend Workshop Service The participants of the Trend Workshop Service 5. June 2009 will receive specific branch overlapping suggestions for daily practical use: How do I generate short-term turnover increase? How do I systematically develop new service products? How do I turn over potential for new business fields into profitable results? Excellent experts such as Dr. Nils Clausnitzer, Managing Director Abbott Diagnostics, Jürgen Robisch, Department Head Service Management Corporate Technology Siemens AG or Dr. Guido Hild, District Manager Life Cycle Solutions of KHS AG, will offer insights to their service practice and will together with the participants develop guidelines for successful service strategies during the afternoon workshops.

The participation fee for the Trend Workshop Service on 5. June at the Alster is 380,- Euro. Together with the "Master Class" on the previous day, the participation fee for both days is 500,- Euro.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Winkler new Vice-President at ISS Prof. Dr. Andreas Winkler

With Prof. Dr. Andreas Winkler as Vice-President, ISS has won an expert in the field of intercultural communication with a wide spectrum of international experience. Before setting up the Graduate School of the ISM University of Management and Economics in Vilnius, Lithuania (a founding of the Norwegian School of Management BI) as dean and professor, he was Vice-President of the famous Monterey Institute of International Studies in California. His previous academic career occupations were at the King's College London and the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University Frankfurt. He was guest lecturer at the Al Azhar University in Cairo and at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. Prof. Winkler is also Board Member of the international student network CDS International in New York.


ISS on location: "Maschinenbauforum" in Pforzheim on 17. and 18. March

At this years "Maschinenbauforum" in Pforzheim, at which over 100 executives of marketing and service organisations will be taking part, customer relationship we be one of the main themes. The MarketingAkademie Hamburg together with the ISS Business School Hamburg will be present at stand A4. The speech holders at this forum will be decision makers from companies such as Deutsche Mechatronics GmbH, Festo or Aerzener Maschinenfabrik.

"Best Service: In Kundenanliegen Denken und Handeln" - Interview with Prof. Dr. WargProf. Dr. Markus Warg

At the strategic convention of this years "CallCenter World 2009" in Berlin, Prof. Dr. Markus Warg spoke about the process, which resulted in the award being given to the group Deutscher Ring honored as "Deutschlands kundenorientiertester Versicherer" (Germany's most customer orientated insurer). The deciding factor for this award being the consequent focus of businesses on customer requests. "Close customer relation belongs, alongside company culture and competence development of personnel, to one of the main criteria for success" Professor Warg said in Berlin.
